ECCPW 2011




On the 22nd – 29th January 2012 we participated in European Cervical Cancer Prevention Week.

The Action was founded by ECCA (European Cervical Cancer Association) to raise awareness of cervical cancer and to encourage women to perform regular screening.  Flower of Womanhood is a member of ECCA and for the sixth-time was organizing a European Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, which was held in main shopping centres in Poland and in other places across the country.  

  • We were present in newspapers, television, and mostly - in Internet.
  • We were handing out educational  leaflets and cytology brushes to educate women on importance of properly performed cytology screenings.
  • Information sheets were distributed about the cervical cancer at health centres and medical clinics.
  • We participates in readings and talks concerning the cervical cancer prevention and vaccination against the HPV virus.
  • Interviews were held for media about health subject matter.
